Workshops and Training Courses

The Foundation believes that to achieve perfection in whatever work we have taken up, there has to be consistent effort put in by each member. The Directors as well as the facilitators participate in the various training workshops arranged by Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry.

The following are some of the training workshops attended:

  • The Directors – Ms. Shilpa Tibrewala, Dr. A. R. Bhardwaj with Mr. Prasad Eledath, Mr. Prakash Kolhe – attended a 7 days orientation to Integral Education at Puducherry along with 3 days advanced course in May 2018
  • Oneness course held at Nainital in 2019-attended by Dr. A.R. Bhardwaj.
  • Finding One’s Key workshop (6 weeks duration, held online in 2021) -attended by Ms. Shilpa Tibrewala, Dr. A.R. Bhardwaj, Ms. Trupti Zanjad, Dr. Smita Amrute and Mr. Vivek K.
  • Savitri Painting (4 weeks workshop held online in 2022)- attended by Ms. Shilpa Tibrewala.
    Ms. Shilpa Tibrewala has also volunteered in one of the Childrens’ camp held at Puducherry.
  • Integral Education Retreat (held at Sharanam, Puducherry and organized by Sri Aurobindo Society): attended by Ms. Shilpa
  • Tibrewala, Dr. A.R. Bhardwaj, Ms. Trupti Zanjad, Dr. Smita Amrute and Mr. Vivek K and also by other facilitators of BDF namely, Mr. Pramod Wagh, Ms. Ashwini Ahire and Ms. Supriya Lonari.
  • Awareness through Body Level 1 workshop (Organised by The Seventh Movement and Auroville and held at Mumbai): attended by Ms. Shilpa Tibrewala, Dr. A.R. Bhardwaj, Ms. Trupti Zanjad, Dr. Smita Amrute and Mr. Vivek K.

Integral Education Workshop 2023 – Antar Gamanam

The team of BDF facilitators were fortunate to offer their services as volunteers at the All India Camp on Integral Education – Antar Gamanam, which was organized by Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Integral Education and Research (SAFIER), the educational wing of Sri Aurobindo Society, Pondicherry, from the 16th to the 24th May, 2023. Sri Aurobindo Society has been conducting the camps on Integral Education for more than 33 years. This camp was designed for the teachers, school principals, administrations, trustees, parents, and educationists who were seeking for a deeper meaning in education and who want to create a joyful learning environment for their children.

The BDF team was involved in all the activities of the camp right from the beginning to the end. Before the camp started,they helped the facilitators in organizing and procuring the material, preparing the decorative displays for the hall and for the silent creative corners, and all other preparatory activities. During the camp, they played short roles in the skits, songs and games, assisted the yoga teacher during her sessions, took photographs and videos of the entire camp and also the audio recording of the sessions. After the camp, they were a part of the analysis meeting for the entire camp. BDF will assist in preparing a detailed report of the camp. Altogether this was an enriching learning experience for each one of them and an opportunity to build individual capacities.

During the Storytelling session, Shilpa Didi narrated a story titled ‘Ekki Dokki’ to the participants.
During the Storytelling session, Ms. Trupti Zanjad sang a Hindi song titled ‘Hay re Kasam Bajra’.
The BDF facilitators were part
of Mantra Chanting session.
Dr. Smita Amrute took the participants through a process of feeling the balloon with the help of their senses.
