Parent Workshops
Parents play an important role in the overall growth and development of the child. The parents are the first teachers and the home is the first school for their children. In the present scenario, we see that both the parents are working and the children are either been looked after by their grandparents or by a caretaker. The parents get so much engaged with their work that they spend very less time with their children. And slowly it develops a gap between the children and the parents which creates disharmony in themselves about each other.
As parents, our primary role is to nurture our children by providing them an environment which help them become independent and responsible beings.
We need to be a guide, a friend and an example for our children. To be an example is to become aware of words and actions because children are very sharp in observing their environment and so for us it important to know what we do and how we do.
Having said that, it is important for us to as parents to know what do we mean by being an example for our children and how to establish harmonious relationship with their children. Considering today’s scenario, we have started are exploration in this area in the light of Integral Education and we are at a very preliminary stage of developing modules for Parent Workshops.
