Integration through art
The directors and the other members of the BDF team came together on the 21st of February, 2021, on the occasion of the Mother’s birthday. Painting is one of the tools for the education of the soul, which helps us to get in touch with our inner being as suggested by Sri Aurobindo. The entire team experienced the joy of painting on a canvas together. Each one got a chance to depict his or her own expression with the help of colors in a setting where light music was played in the background. The painting went on emerging slowly as each of the team member went on adding their own expressions without disturbing the expressions of others. There was no pre-decided theme for the painting. At the end of this exercise, what emerged were two beautiful paintings, perfectly highlighting individual expressions in a collectivity. This activity was a perfect example of team harmony, where each member got a chance to express and the uniqueness of each one added to the beauty of the collectivity. Both the paintings have been displayed in the office of the Foundation.
